About the job The APAC Regional Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing business operations within the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. This role involves developing and executing strategic plans to drive business growth, managing regional sales teams, fostering key client relationships, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. The APAC Regional Manager will collaborate closely with various departments such as sales, marketing, finance, and operations to achieve targets and enhance the company's presence and profitability in the APAC market.
Key Responsibilities • Developing and Implementing Business Strategies: Develop comprehensive business strategies for the APAC region in alignment with corporate objectives. Identify market opportunities, assess competitive landscapes, and devise plans to maximize revenue and market share.

• Sales Management: Lead and manage regional sales teams to achieve sales targets and objectives. Provide guidance, coaching, and support to sales personnel to enhance their performance. Monitor sales metrics and KPIs, analyze data to identify trends, and implement corrective measures as needed.

• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders in the APAC region. Understand client needs, address concerns, and provide solutions to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. Explore opportunities for upselling and cross-selling products or services.

• Market Expansion and Penetration: Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the company's market presence in the APAC region. Explore new markets, channels, and business opportunities. Develop strategic partnerships and alliances to facilitate market penetration and growth.

• Budgeting and Financial Management: Develop annual budgets for the APAC region and ensure adherence to financial targets. Monitor expenses, manage costs, and optimize resource allocation to maximize profitability. Provide regular financial reports and analysis to senior management.

• Operational Efficiency: Work closely with internal departments to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency within the APAC region. Identify areas for improvement, implement best practices, and leverage technology to enhance productivity and performance.

• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies within the APAC region. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize exposure. Maintain high standards of corporate governance and ethical conduct.

• Team Leadership and Development: Recruit, onboard, and develop top talent within the APAC regional team. Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to team members to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Conduct performance evaluations and implement development plans as necessary.
Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in biology, biotechnology or related field; MBA preferred with experience in the oncology diagnostics field.
• At least 10 years of experience in business management, sales leadership, or a similar role, preferably in the APAC region.
• Strong understanding of APAC markets, cultural nuances, and business practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic thinking with the ability to develop and execute business plans.
• Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and financial management.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin; proficiency in other APAC languages is a plus.
• Willingness to travel (50%) within the APAC region as needed.
